- Attendance
is crucial. Class discussions will be an important part of the learning
of the course. Therefore, every unexcused absence over one will result
in lowering your grade for the course by a letter. If you miss class,
bring a doctor's note or some evdence of why you were absent. Even documented
absences will be penalized. Any student who misses two classes must
make an appointment to see me, and students who miss more than two classes
will receive a FAILING grade for the course,
- Arriving
late and leaving early is rude and disruptive. Every three occurrences
will count as one absence.
- Class
participation and discussion are essential. Your ideas are important
to the collective learning of the class.
- Participation
will occur in class and electronically through the use of WebCT. Students
will assigned to discussion groups and expected to discuss class material
electronically both through chats and electronic postings.
- You must
complete assignments to receive a passing grade for the course.
- If you
