This seminar is intended for students interested in computer technology, graphic design and Web site authoring. A substantial part of the work will be on learning the Macromedia Flash software tht is behind most of the motion graphics involving type and image that are seen on the Web. The teaching will take place in a computer lab where the softwae will be available, and you will be expected to post your own Flash projects on a personal website each week.

The seminar will also involve attending workshops on student development issures, and discussing and writing about these topics.

Flash is a program which requires some effort to learn. Those who choose the seminar should be comfortable working with new computer software, interested in learning about Web site design and willing to devote a number of hours each week at challenging computer and other seminar projects.
