Completed Projects:

Web:  Established FA website; developed electronic communication discussion options; established regular announcements via emails.  Luminis/Banner introduced to faculty.  About 1/3 now using/trained on Luminis.

Honors:  Task Force recommendations accepted by ARC: applications for director now under review.

Faculty Governance: Bylaws Revision to create permanent single academic/curricular standing committee: the Academic Review Committee (ARC) to replace prior four committees:  Academic, Curriculum, General Education, and Senior Seminar

Evaluation of the President

Wintersession:  Analysis of Wintersession conducted by ARC and resolution to keep Wintersession passed.

Study Abroad: Task Force Recommendations accepted by ARC; all course syllabi under review by ARC

Aademic Integrity: Survey completed and analyzed by Martha Ecker and Babs Varano.  Distributed for review.  New Academic Integrity Policy approved by Faculty Assembly.

Grading Task Force conducted extensive data collection and analysis conducted with the help of Babs Varano and published the results to the faculty.  Changes in grading language as recommended by the Task Force approved by Faculty Assembly; Change in Withdrawal date recommended by the Task Force approved by FA.  Units, convening groups, and individual faculty are reviewing among themselves general grading patterns to consider whether changes are in order at these levels.

Sustainability:  The SBGC has presented a detailed recommendation re: the Sustainability Center to several BOT committees, and report on landscaping and campus "cleanup" also presented to a BOT committee.  Resolution re: Arboretum concept and then a detailed report/design for the Arboretum were both approved by the FA.

Underway:

CLA:  concept, flex unit, and class schedule passed FA.  Gen Ed program and school core revisions under analysis and discussion to be finished by the end of semesters.  Ditto for majors and minors.

ASEC:  Academic structure preliminary proposals to be discussed next unit council, FA meeting.  The committee is considering and responding to a large array of input including recommendations from the Teacher Education Task Force, the Library Task Force, the International Education Task Force, and the Study Abroad Task Force

Evaluation of Provost:  Process/forms developed by Deans Evaluation Committee; comes to FA in the coming meetings.

Evaluation of Deans:  Form developed by Deans Evaluation Committee; procedure under development.  Will come to FA in the future.
