"If
we spoke a different language, we would perceive a somewhat different
world." Programs
The Major
in Spanish Language Studies The Foreign Languages Convening Group at the School of American and International Studies offers a major in Spanish Language Studies and a minor in French, Italian, and Spanish. For a description of all programs please click on the links above. Students majoring in Spanish are required to enroll in an approved summer or semester-long study abroad program in Spain or Latin America. Alternatively, they may choose to participate in an experiential learning opportunity where they must use the target language. Study abroad and experiential learning opportunities, each lasting at least four weeks, will carry a variable number of credits and must be approved and its outcomes assessed by the language faculty. Visit the Cahill Center for information on Experiential Learning.
