Study Abroad
Current studies show that students who want to become proficient in a
second language benefit greatly from an immersion experience provided
by a study abroad program or a similar endeavor. At Ramapo, we offer you
the opportunity to study in a foreign country or to take advantage of
the International Cooperative Education opportunities sponsored by the
Cahill Center.
Semester or
year-long Study Abroad Program in Cádiz, Spain
The
Study Abroad Program in Cádiz offers Ramapo students the opportunity
to spend a semester or a year in the city of Cádiz in southern
Spain. Implemented in collaboration with the University of Washington
in Seattle, the Study Abroad Program in Cádiz has been designed
for students who want to improve their language skills and further their
knowledge of Spanish culture, literature, history, geography, and the
arts, among other disciplines. Classes are held at the University of Cádiz
and are taught by University faculty. Students live at a residence hall
or with private families. Please refer to the Study Abroad section of

information about the program.
The New Jersey
State Consortium for International Studies (NJSCIS)
Offering a variety of study abroad programs worldwide, the
Consortium provides undergraduate students of NJSCIS member institutions
like Ramapo with challenging and personally rewarding cross-cultural
experiences in an overseas collegiate setting. Other consortium members
include The College of New Jersey, Montclair State College, Rowan
University, Kean University, William Paterson University, Richard Stockton
University, and New Jersey City University. A description of all
