Celia Quinnette: General Manager

Photo: Celia Quinnette: General Manager Besides the fact that I became assistant manager by sleeping through a meeting,
I am a surprisingly motivated individual.  Going into my junior year at Ramapo, I will have a lot on my platter, not including the soup of the day.  I’ll be doing an internship, working at InfoSys, maintaining the position of treasurer for RamaShows, as well as learning what it takes to be a WRPR General Manager through my delightful masters James and Nick.

I believe that WRPR will one day take the world by storm, and that Ramapo is a mere stepping stone.

In a nutshell: Talk to me about the music I like, then maybe we can bust a groove together.  If I’m ever stuck on a test, I try humming the theme song to Jurassic Park.  Try it.  It got people away from the dinos.  It can help you out of a test.  I like making movies and other forms of entertainment, so if you ever want to collaborate… yes, please, and thank you.  If you get to know me, I might just show you my extensive rock collection.  Not rock music.  Rocks, like the hard broken parts of the earth. Maybe I should have just posted a myspace survey.
You wish.

Brian Reilly: Manager Photo: Brian Reilly: Manager

My name is Brian and I am currently a junior and am majoring in  Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Music and radio have always been fascinating to me so I decided to get involved in the Fall of ’06. After hosting several semesters worth of shows and co-hosting an epic metal radio show, I became Business Manager, which
then blossomed into being a station Co-Manager.

Some things that interest me: Rock Climbing, Photography, Sustainability, Activism, Frisbee, Diners, Volvos, Records Collecting, being involved on campus, etc.

Favorite Musical Genres: Rock, Folk, Experimental, Electronica, Hip-Hop, Turntablism, Metal

The Rest of The Board

Lily Szabo: Assistant Manager

Bio still to come.

Ifeanyi Igbo: Webmaster

Photo: Ifeanyi Igbo: WebmasterSalutations! to everyone. I am generally known as Iffy. I am the supreme ruler of the digital networks stratosphere, in simple terms I am the webmaster. I am currently a senior at the 'Po. I host the show "Culture Shock" where I play an ecletic mix of organized and refreshed sounds - music. I enjoy any and every genre of music so long as it's well produced and sounds good.

I am currently in search of a co-host for the "Culture Shock" (it gets lonely in the booth sometimes), so hit me up anytime. Shout out to Jojo Mndewa Tenga, Graduated Co-host of Culture Shock. Much love to everyone and I willingly welcome the New Djs (haha let the hazing begin...)

Keith Stratton: Business Manager

Photo: Keith Stratton: Business ManagerOh hello! My name is Keith, but you don't have to call me that -  any variation of the word "Keith", or even "that kid who had a condom on his head on the 2nd day of the 2006 fall semester" works for me. I'm a junior here at Ramapo, and I'm also an Accounting major. Riveting, isn't it? What's actually exciting is the fact that I'm the Business Manager for WRPR, which means I handle the underwriting, the DJ events service, and the raised revenue and budgetary accounts!

I've been a WRPR DJ with some friends in the past, and my show was an instant... uh, show. For the record, I love rock music of all kinds, including, but not limited to, alternative, classic, indie, pop, punk, progressive, screamo, post-punk, post-hardcore, and even experimental.

I am also the Vice President of the RASCALS Comedy Club, which may or may not be an indication that I like to laugh. I love situational humor and I tend to purposely make the stupidest jokes of all time. I'm also addicted to pizza and coca-cola. Although I'm from Monmouth county, I'm rather fond of North Jersey - except for the lack of Wawa's. Seriously, what's with that?

Rob Talalai: Assistant Business Manager

Photo: Rob Talalai: Assistant Business ManagerI go by Rob. Things are pretty simple with me here at Ramapo. When I'm not busy procrastinating (with a guitar in hand), I'm working towards a degree in Marketing with a minor in Music.

I enjoy nothing more than devouring a pack of Double Stuf Oreos, shredding a guitar to pieces, and occasionally going forth with a questionable (and usually stupid) idea. I also stay awake until regrettable hours, by my own choice, and host my own show here at WRPR. This year, I'll be an apprentice to the true business manager; so when I'm not gettin' down to bizne$$, I plan to rule with an iron fist.

Okay, maybe not an iron fist, but at least a metal claw (kinda like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget)...

P.S If you are as deeply in love with Jesse Lacey/Brand New as I am, I already love you. And for god sake's, if you know every track off of "TDAGARIM" by heart, just give me yo' digitz.

Sarah Anders: Program Director

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m a Junior here at Ramapo.  I come from the scenic town of East Windsor, and I am a nursing major, even though I want to shoot myself sometimes because school work consumes my soul.  Some very important things you should know about me: I love candy, being a vegetarian, and animals.  I also enjoy nature and hiking at the Ramapo Reservation, but don’t ever invite me on a bike ride because I never learned to ride one.  This is my second semester at WRPR, and I have graciously volunteered my time and efforts to sorting through piles of music and hand selecting the prime cuts of tofu-music-steak

Karen Rivera: PSA/ News Director

Unfortunately, seeing as how Karen is always running around from one place to another, a Bio would only encapsulate about one second of time... okay. Enough with the third person. I'm Karen, and I'm the News and PSA's director for WRPR.

I'm a Senior majoring in Journalism and minoring in East Asian Studies. I'm involved with a few things on campus, but WRPR is pretty much the most awesome. You can find me running back and forth in the Student Center.

I've been to Japan. I like movies. I like music. I love noodles. In all shapes and sizes. And most sushi. Just don't feed me eel.

And news related: I like the weird news stories best, like moose getting drunk off of fermented apples and people fighting off mountain lions with pens. So if you've got an interest in that too, come and find me.

Bobby Mack: Promotions Director

Bio Still to come.

Gabby DeCandia: Music Assistant

You could call me Sally, but I wouldn’t recommend it as my name is Gabby.  I am a junior psychology major, and I participate in many organizations here at Ramapo, but none as wonderful as WRPR.  This is my third semester on air, and I can now add being on the E-board to my mighty list of accomplishments in life.  I have a show with my lovely roommate Sarah.  Together we play sweet, sweet music and promote whirled peas.  Sometimes I like to talk extensively about bird watching.

Adam Biener: Productions

Photo: Adam Biener: ProductionsMy name is Adam. Aside from my full time job of being more metal than thou, I am a junior this year, and I major in economics here at Ramapo College and also have a minor in Math.

I was a WRPR DJ over the past year who's show had a simple mantra: If it is /not metal/doesn't melt your face off/or doesn't horrify anyone with the last name Gore/ then it is not music

My position on the e-board is productions, and thus I have dominion over the recording setup and should be around on campus as a mister fix it. Finally, the metal show will continue to air. ROCK ON

Anthony Siciliano: Operations Photo: Anthony Siciliano: Operations

I am known by many names, but the one that I hear around Ramapo College the most is Tony. You may call me whatever you wish! I'm a junior at The 'Po this year, and also the operations manager. This means that when you wonderful DJ's break something, I have to come in and repair it. So don't break stuff! I am a commuter so that means I will have to travel from Ramsey to kick your butt for ruining the station!

My radio show usually consists of classic rock, new rock, old rock, and any kind of rock I approve of. There are also songs which do not fall into those categories that I enjoy.

My hobbies include: Having an awesome radio show, co-owning awesomefarm.com and AwesomeFarm Productions, LLC, Photography, Paintball, Running, telling bad jokes, and eating copious amounts of food.

Joia Pisani: Secretary

Image: Joia Pisani: SecretaryI am Joia Pisani from Kinnelon, New Jersey and I currently attend Ramapo College of New Jersey. I began my college career at Ramapo in the fall of 2006 and I am majoring in Communication Arts with a concentration specifically in Media and Cinema Studies and a minor in International Business. I am actively involved in some of Ramapo’s student organizations. I was secretary of The United Asian Association my first year and I am currently President of the organization now. I also am a DJ on WRPR, Ramapo’s radio, that I co-host with some of my friends.

After college, I want to become a writer in the public relations field and/or on become part of a creative advertising company for developing new ideas. Overall I enjoy new experiences and meeting new people so wherever life takes me I will make the best of it.

Eileen Ramos: Office Assistant

Photo: Eileen Ramos: Office Assistant

My name is Eileen and I frankly hate my name, among other things (lint, empty pens, typos, murder). I've been part of this wonderful station for a year now, hosting a radio show by myself  during the Fall semester and another one with a co-host during the Spring, and as of Fall 2008, I'll be their secretary as a junior. Taking notes and filing paperwork and such.

I'm a communications major and I aspire to be part of the magic that is T.V. I have no clue what, but hopefully it'll be worthwhile. And oh yeah, I'm not as yellow as this picture shows; it's just the only decent one of me I have at the moment... or possibly ever.

Chelsea Marra: Office AssistantImage: Chelsea Marra: Office Assistant

My name is Chelsea. I hail from Toms River, NJ and I am now a sophomore at Ramapo. Currently, I am majoring in Communications with a concentration in Digital Filmmaking. I am the office assistant here at WRPR. I do things an office assistant would. This includes games of Solitaire. I also act as a maid, in that, I clean up after very messy DJs almost daily. Nevertheless, I love my job. Everyone is very easygoing and I met some pretty fantastic people doing this job. I am, more than likely, one of the only people involved in WRPR that does not have a show but I still rule. I'm interested in a lot of things such as music, shows, batman, photography, people, animals, and books.
