E-board Emeritus

James Houde: General Manager

James Houde, General ManagerJames is too "busy" with "stuff" to write a proper bio.

James has been with the station for seven or eight years and now he's finally been made the GM so he wouldn't complain anymore at meetings.

We don't know how he'll handle it on his own once Nick graduates after the Fall semester.

Jim Murtha: Office Assistant

Jim Murtha

Everyone else is jealous of me because I get paid to do what they all do for free. If you come into the station sometime during the week when the school is in session, you'll probably see me. I'm not there in the Summer though, because seriously, why would I be there when there's no money for me? I've been a DJ on WRPR since the Fall of 2005 and have had this awesome paid e-board job since January of 2007.

Oh and I also designed and built this very website because I'm awesome. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't get to read any of this.

I'm a communications major, which means I have lots of free time. I want to design websites once I'm out of school, because it's one of the only hobbies I've ever had that I can actually get paid for. I like to sleep in, stay up late, make websites and be on the radio. That's about it.

Nick Basirico: General Manager

Nick Basirico, General Manager

My name's Nick, and I joined WRPR when I transferred to Ramapo from community college in 2005.  I did not have a radio show last semester due to my Internship with MTV and Atlas Media Corporation but during fall semester I co hosted "The Pregame with Nixon and Groogz" which was an instant classic.

I am sad to say that I will be graduating this fall and thus retiring from WRPR, but I will always keep a place for the radio station in my heart.  I'll be graduating with a degree in communications with a focus in digital filmmaking.  I plan on freelancing and script writing after I graduate while working full time for the government and pursuing my masters degree.

Carla Pallay: Music Director

Carla Pallay, MusicMy name is Carla, I am a Senior (finally) and am painfully involved on this campus, which means you probably know me from somewhere else. For example: ResNet, Choices, First Year Experience, Class Council 2008, RASA, and most recently, WRPR.

I have been involved with WRPR for the last year and I loved it so much, I wanted to be on e-board. So, I am now part of the Music Committee Crew situation. (There is no need to really explain that, just take it for what it is...)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the station this year, we all are working really hard to make WRPR the best it can be. Also, a little self-promotion never hurts, but I am having a show, if anyone wants to co-host with me let me know :)
