As you look for sources on the internet, you should try
to evaluate the quality of the author if known, and the
general quality and reliability of the web site. Many
times, journals can be accessed from internet sites, and
then you will have to judge their reliability as well. I
have found the following sites to have high quality
information.
http://www.epa.gov
Env.
Protection Agency - lots of energy and environment data
and articles
http://www.eren.doe.gov
ditto
DOE
http://www.sustainable.doe.gov
DOE

http://www.ucsusa.org
Union

issues
http://solstice.crest.org

renewable energy topics and conservation
http://www.ecw.org
Energy
Center at Univ. of Wisconsin some access to
journals
http://www.igc.org

links to energy source information
http://www.eande.lbl.gov
Lawrence
Berkeley Labs Energy and Env. Division
http://www.ttcorp.com/upvg.html
DOE
funded PV utility group
http://rredc.nrel.gov
National
Renewable Energy Lab
You can
also do searches for topics. Some of my favorites
are
www.yahoo.com
www.hotbot.com
www.altavista.digital.com
Remember
that .com are companies and they are selling you a
product. Dont expect the full story from these
sites. It is not usually a question of incorrect
information, but incomplete information.
