105 - Fundamentals of Geology
Description
This course will provide an
introduction to geology. The areas to be examined are solid earth
materials and processes (the formation and recycling – by weathering
and erosion – of rocks and minerals), the structure and function of the
oceans and atmosphere processes, and the physical and biological
histories of the Earth. This information will be presented in a plate
tectonic framework.
This is a lecture-lab course.

Prerequisite
None (although Environmental
Science/Studies students may benefit from taking ENSC 103 before this
course).
