Henry J. Frundt convenes the Sociology
program at Ramapo College, where
he has been teaching for more than twenty‑eight
years. Formerly, he was convener
of
Latin American Studies. He specializes
in the Sociology of Development,
which
contrasts urban and rural conditions and social movements in the U.S. and
abroad.
Dr. Frundt’s previous publications
include the award-winning
Trade Conditions and Labor Rights: U.S. Initiatives, Dominican and Central
American Responses: Refreshing Pauses: Coca‑Cola and Human
Rights in Guatemala; An Agribusiness
Manual; and numerous
articles
in professional and popular
journals. He is also secretary of the
Labor
Studies section of the Latin American
Studies Association and a board
member of the Guatemala Labor Education
Project. He has previously received
awards from the Organization of American States and the Fulbright Association.
Currently, he is researching corporate
labor codes. He is married, and has six
children and nine grandchildren.
