What constitutes reality for children is quite different than for adults.  This series explores metaphoric examples of how children survive in a world filled with monsters and heroes.  Their actions take place within allusions to mythologies, elements of landscape, and images of botanical/anatomical forms.  For example, in Milk Boy, the child pinches his nipples while standing on clusters of berry-like forms that are actually mammary glands.   The painted sketches come from  observations from life and function as explorations of gesture and color.
