Children
home

This
series explores what childhood looks like from the vantage point of the parent. The children's actions take place within
allusions to mythologies, elements of landscape, and images of
botanical/anatomical forms which become metaphors of parental protection.
Posing feels like an act of trust, both for the child and for the artist (and for the viewer perhaps most of all). The portraits intend to convey this.
