Note: These bibliographies are not exhaustive and remain under construction. They are specifically and consciously limited in the following ways: I have stayed almost exclusively with materials from the last decade. I have identified only print resources from books and scholarly journals and only material written in English. A/V materials, literary materials, and websites have not been included. I have included little on international/global diversity but have concentrated instead on multicultural North America. I have not included much of the very extensive material that exists on religion/spirituality (partly because it is far better covered in the field already). I have not included studies of historical diversity. All of these would be valuable categories in which to seek additional enriching materials.

Other limitations of the bibliographies reflect the scarcity of material that yet exists on diversity within groups, on ethnic European American groups, on socio-economic variables, and on diversity issues for children. There are some entries in the bibliography that address these topics but much more work and research needs to be done in these areas.
