Self-Evaluation for Participation

Objective: To reflectively evaluate your own participation in this class, as per the syllabus.  This is due the last day of class (in class, not over email), which is 6/16/05 for MINI SUMMER I and 6/29/05 FOR SUMMER I. Please note that if you do not hand in this assignment by the last class, I will determine your participation grade.

Instructions: Please type 1-2 paragraphs answering the following questions. At the bottom of the page, please include the following statement and fill in the grade:

"I understand that one objective of this course was to enrich personal integrity. I give myself grade of A-F on class participation."

Questions:

• How often have you attended class?
• How often have you raised your hand to ask or answer questions in class?
• How often have you contributed to general in-class discussion?
• How often have you contributed to critical thinking exercises, small group work in class, role playing, etc.?
• Have you shown respect towards Prof. Cassidy and your fellow students?
• Have you brought a positive and constructive attitude towards class, or have you been negative, hostile, or withdrawn?
• Have you emailed Prof. Cassidy outside of class to extend class discussions or relate other concerns?
• Have you participated in Prof. Cassidy's office hours?
• Have you helped other students inside or outside of class to understand course materials?
