The goal of this website is to introduce Ramapo College students and staff to Bioinformatics databases and tools both, commercial, and that are freely available on the Internet. This site contains a collection of tutorials designed to provide introductory hands-on training for the use of these Bioinformatics resources. Some of the exercises are designed for commercial tools available to Ramapo College Students and Staff. If you are associated with Ramapo College and need access to these commercial tools, please contact me.
The project was originally funded in part by Teaching, Learning & Technology Roundtable (TLTR) and Ramapo College Foundation in 2001. However, since then I have almost completely rebuilt the entire site with many additions and significant modifications.
Note: The public databases are constantly undergoing changes. Therefore, it is possible that some of the tutorials have become outdated.
