GDB: Genome Database
The official central repository for genomic mapping data resulting from the Human Genome Initiative, a worldwide research effort to analyze the structure of human DNA and determine the location and sequence of human genes.
GenAtlas
This database compiles the information relevant to the mapping efforts of the Human Genome Project. This information is collected from original articles in the literature or from the proceedings of Human Gene Mapping and Single Chromosome Workshops.
Genecards
A database of human genes, their products and their involvement in diseases. It offers concise information about the functions of all human genes.
Genemap'99
Represents an outline of the complete sequence of the human genome, the first draft of which may be available as early as 2001. includes the locations of more than 30,000 genes - about one third of all human genes. As well as assisting in assembling the complete human genome, GeneMap'99 is also of immediate use for identifying and isolating genes that contribute to human disease.
NCBI Site for Human Genome Sequencing
NCBI's main site for everything related to Human Genome Sequencing
Genelink
A multimedia database resource for human genetics and telomere research.
Genotk
Contains not only sequence information, but also data concerning chromosomal localizations and expression patterns.
HGMD: The Human Gene Mutation Database
Human gene mutation database at the Institute of medical genetics in Cardiff. Represents an attempt to collate known (published) gene lesions responsible for human inherited disease.
Hugemap Database
A database that contains a map of the human genome.
IXDB: The Integrated X Chromosome Database
Provides an integrated view of the X chromosome mapping field.
Neomorphic
Goal is to mine the human genome to identify novel genes and to understand their roles in disease and other biological processes using proprietary technologies.
NCBI_HGSI: Human Genome Sequencing Index
Provides a service to members of the international consortium to support coordination and tracking of the Human Genome Project (HGP). Sequence and mapping target data from centers participating in the international consortium are submitted via the HGSI web site (a "target" is a chromosomal region delimited by Framework Markers).
NCBI Genome Resources
This NCBI Web site serves as an integrated, one-stop, genomic information infrastructure for biomedical researchers from around the world so that they may use this data in their research efforts.
NCBI_LocusLink
Provides a single query interface to curated sequence and descriptive information about genetic loci, presenting information on official nomenclature, aliases, sequence accessions, phenotypes, EC numbers, MIM numbers, UniGene clusters, map information, and related web sites.
NCBI Genome View: Map Viewer
Provides graphical displays of features on NCBI's assembly of human genomic sequence data as well as cytogenetic, genetic, physical, and radiation hybrid maps. Map features that can be seen along the sequence include NCBI contigs, the BAC tiling path, and the location of genes, STSs, FISH mapped clones, ESTs, GenomeScan models, SAGE tags, and variation.
Nomenclature for Human Genes
A web site that provides rules for naming human genes.
OMIM: Online Mendelian Inheritance In Man
This database is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders developed for the World Wide Web by NCBI. The database contains textual information, pictures, reference information, and copious links to NCBI’s Entrez database of MEDLINE articles and sequence information.
THE Genome Sequence Database at NCGR
A database of publicly available nucleotide sequences and their associated annotation that NCGR maintains for use in collaborations and internal research, and for the purpose of providing general, public access to the data.
The Human Genome Project Links
A collection of very useful links that provide a wide variety of basic and advanced information about The Human Genome Project.

The Molecular Biology Database Collection of NAR (Nucleic Acids Research)
The Nucleic Acids Research Molecular Biology Database Collection is a public online resource that lists the databases described in the issues of Nucleic Acids Research together with other databases of value to the biologist and available throughout the world. All databases included in this Collection are freely available to the public.

TIGR_EGAD: The Expressed Gene Anatomy Database
A non-redundant set of human (HT) and non-human (ET) transcript sequences constructed by extraction and curation of sequences from GenBank
TIGR_HGI: Human Gene Index
The goal of this project is ultimately to represent a non-redundant view of all human genes and data on their expression patterns, cellular roles, functions, and evolutionary relationships. The database will also include links to genomic sequences, mapping data, 3D structures, and literature references.
UDB: The Unified Database For Human Genome Mapping
Presents an integrated map for each human chromosome, based on data integrated from various radiation hybrid, linkage and physical mapping resources. Mapped DNA segments, classified by categories (such as genes, EST clusters and STSs mapped by various methods) are presented on a Megabase-scale integrated map, with further information and links to relevant databases.
