GOBASE: The Organelle Genome Database A taxonomically broad organelle genome database that organizes and integrates diverse data related to organelles.
MITBASE A comprehensive and integrated mitochondrial DNA database that integrates all available information on mitochondrial genes both from different organisms (humans, animals, plants and microbes) and from intraspecies variants and mutants.
MITODAT- Mendelian Inheritance and the Mitochondrion This database is dedicated to the nuclear genes specifying the enzymes, structural proteins, and other proteins involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and function. MitoDat highlights predominantly human nuclear-encoded mitochondrial proteins.
MITOMAP: A Human Mitochondrial Genome Database This is a comprehensive database for the human mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), the first component of the human genome to be completely sequenced. This database may also provide a model for the development of information storage and retrieval systems for other components of the human genome.
MMTDB: A Metazoa Mitochondrial DNA Variants Database A specialized database of Metazoa mitochondrial DNA variants. MmtDB is not simply a collection of Metazoa mitochondrial DNA sequences but a collection of the VARIANTS due to the highly polymorphic feature of mtDNA.
OGMP: The Organelle Genome Megasequencing Program A major aim of the OGMP is to provide a more representative sampling of the structural diversity that exists among organellar DNAs, as well as to generate a phylogenetically broad sequence database with which to probe more incisively the mode and tempo of organellar genome evolution.
The Sanger Centre C.elegans Mitochondrial Directory These pages are a list of genes which encode mitochondrially localized proteins. Prediction of putative mitochondrially targeted genes is based on a knowledge of the biochemistry of the organelle in conjunction.
