CGD: CATTLE GENOME DATABASE CGD is intended as a fast access database for information on the genome of cattle. It grew out of the Cattle Genotypic Database which was designed to construct a genetic linkage map of the bovine genome. In addition to the genetic maps of chromosomes, information on loci, contact addresses citations and comparative information will also be contained in this database.
CHICKMAP The aims of this collaboration are: to construct an integrated genetic and physical map of the chicken genome, to provide a public genome database, to co-ordinate genome mapping activities in poultry. The ultimate goal is to develop the tools and resources to map and identify genes that control traits of agricultural and biological interest.
HOVERGEN: Homologous Vertebrate Genes DataBase A database of homologous vertebrate genes, that allows to easily select sets of homologous genes among a given set of vertebrate species. HOVERGEN thus is particularly useful for: comparative sequence analysis, phylogeny, and molecular evolution studies. More generally, HOVERGEN gives an overall view of what is known about a particular gene family.
OMIA: Online Mendelian Inheritance In Animals A database of the genes and phenes that have been documented in a wide range of animal species other than those for which databases already exist (human, rat and mouse).
The Dog Genome Project This web site is aimed at producing a map of all the chromosomes in dogs. Such a map can be used to locate the genes causing disease and those controlling morphology and behavior.
