insight you gained during the session?
- It was nice to see that the men in the movie felt the
same inadequacies as women
- Gender heavily influences views on sexuality.
- The 1st part of class-much more interaction. The movie was
very interesting-although I still think it somewhat
unrealistic.
- Thank you for talking about Respect of others. We should have
an open classroom! We should all try to accomplish that
- The movie enhanced all the issues we discuss regarding
"isms"
- As a woman, I realized that media plays a big part in the way
I act and look.
- Views on strip clubs + how it affects relationships to
crumble.
- I realized that I had many views on sex roles in common with a
few people.
- The major differences between the way men think of themselves
and the way women think of men.
- that men feel insecure too
- that schools may stop teaching @ evolution and teach only
creationsim. I found myself very upset by this.
- conservative vs. liberal
- Construct. what people's ideas of normalcy are. conservative
vs. liberal
- That when it comes to gender ist not just M/F.
- While watching "The Full Monty" hte fact that really hit me
was that women would not stand naked in front of other women +
these guys did. Also that men don't always realize that women look
@ them as they look @ us.
- I liked watching the movie and getting others opinions on
it.
- It's refreshing to see that men have insecurities too.
- To let my guard down about certain issues. It's O.K.
- To learn the difference between being conservative and
liberal
- My feelings toward homosexuals
- I'm sorry to say this, but I didn't really learn
anything.
- I liked how everyone was able to be open to talk about the
"sex" topic.
- Poeple can accept what is different to what they are used
to
- How males can feel insecure about themselves also.
- The movie was funny, but not too believable...
- The opions(sic) of roles of gender.
- the early discussion was much easier
3. What question(s) remain uppermost in your mind as we
end?
- who do we always have to attach reason to everything?
Whatever happened to nature
- what can be done about gender roles-seems that we will always
have them.
- What does one class think about sexuality? Discuss
more!!!
- Construct...liberal vs. conservative (what are these?)
- As a man, I wonder if I can be sensitive
- How to break through stereotypes regarding sexuality
- Why don't I think of this as much as other people seem to
think of it.
- are people really listening to each other
- Does being a gay person make a person less of a
man/woman?
- What do you expect for the media paper
- nothing really
- what is sexuality
- Why women don't do as these men
- Is this class as hard as I think it is?
- How these guys got the nerve to strip
