After re visiting our web site, and reading about the need for positive
news ... i have always hesitated sending in anything about my life, but
now i will. i have been living here on Martha's Vineyard for fifteen
years, since i moved from forty years in Rockland, the last twenty of them
being in Nyack. i live in a very small house in Oaks Bluffs, with tomatoes
in pots on the deck, near a large salt water pond that abuts the Vieneyard
Haven Harbor.
i live with a black and white Newfoundland dog and a rescued Siamese cat
... and now play the cello semi professionally, after having returned to
it about six years ago in earnest. (i even appear on the Carly Simon album
that was released a year ago in January!)
Rediscovery of music helped greatly in my healing of old, old, crippling
emotional wounds, and i am happier and more content now than i have ever
been in my life. My main "job" is teaching adult beginners cello (and
music in general), having fallen into it when a couple of dear friends
asked me to teach them. i am very very happy to read of the good things
that life has brought my fellow classmates ... my family life at that time
notwithstanding, i have only wonderful memories of Clarkstown, and the
people i grew up with there ... thank you so much.
