Michael E. Bender of Greenwood Lake, NY, died on October 20, 1999 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern.

Michael was born in Suffern on November 24, 1950 to Henry and Catherine Malone Bender. Michael married Lynn Hanney in 1972 at St. Augustine's Church, New City.

He has been a resident of Greenwood Lake for 19 years, prior New City. Michael was a past member of Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

He is survived by his wife Lynn; sons, Michael, Jr. and Christopher; daughter Stacey Bender; brothers Henry M. Bender, Jr. and Scott Bender; sister, Kathleen Bender and his mother Catherine Bender.

Religious services will be held on Saturday at 8PM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City. Visiting at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Interment private. Donations to Make A Wish Foundation or Starlight Foundation.
